Hello world! Welcome to my blog!
My name is Arelys Jimenez, I am mother, wife, fine artist, the author and creative director
I created this blog as a venue to show my arts, photography, designs,
and whatever is around me, in other words, my blog is basically a visual content. Genial
Creation is a celebration of the natural beauty,
inspired by the simple things of life. I never get tired for taking photos and I always find
beauty in things that incites me. Can be decorating a room, the meal of the day or the
rhythm of the music, my art is always evolving from time to time.
I am Dominican, therefore coming from a tropical place is obviously one of my sources of
inspiration but also one of the things that inspires me is that I’m living in the New England
area surrounded by nature, where I can appreciate the four seasons of the year. I love the
gardens and floral design so every year I attend at least one of the expo. Also, I am part of
art community where I get to know fine artists and show my arts with them. This blog is
bilingual, feel free to ask me either in Spanish or English.

A cake to Celebrate!
For our 25th Anniversary of marriage, my Mom, aunt Bruni, my sister Rocio and me helped to make a little cake to celebrate... It was very instructional and fun! It was a blessing to have my relatives in that especial moment.

Lion Drawing with wash
Different positions, I did the drawings by applying white ink with water to give more value and texture. I had to add the wash more than four times.

We were walking through Sandy Beach, Bar Harbor and suddenly we found a sand sculpture. It was in a place where few people walk. We don't know who did it but, I took pictures.

While I was visiting my daughter's school in Boston one month ago, I attend a very fun workshop. I learned book hand-binding around cotton tapes with exposed stitches. This is a new technique for me, I was so inspired and the process was very easy and fun. I enjoyed the group and my instructor Angela Liguori, a professional Book Artist who have much experience on book binding. Angela is native and studied in Rome, now she lives in Boston. It was very fun workshop!
